Located northeast of Gainesville approaching the town of Waldo, Austin Carey Forest is a UF property that teaches about…forestry. They have several spaces that can be rented amid a picturesque forest, one of which overlooks a serene lake (the Austin Carey Learning Center backs up to Lake Mize). It is generally quiet in this area and wildlife abounds. They do public events there sometimes if you want to check it out for rental consideration.
